E-Mail Spam All messages are checked against national blacklists and spam signatures to determine if the incoming message is spam. If a message is indeed determined to be spam, it is sent to a spam folder within that users account. To access the spam folder within your user accounts, use one of the following methods:
  1. WebMail Access – Connect to the Internet, open a browser and go to http://mail.mtpinternet.com or http://mail.yourdomain.com/. Log into your WebMail account (username=full email address) and click on the spam folder. Any messages in the spam folder that are not spam, select them and choose "Move to Inbox". Those messages will now be located in your 'Inbox' or main folder.
  2. Mail Client Access – You can configure your mail client to collect messages sent to the spam folder in your user account. Setup a new account with the same settings as the user account, but add "-spam" after the username, before the @ sign to access the spam folder (i.e. myinbox-spam@mydomain.com). For additional directions on how to setup a mail client to interface with MediaTech's mail servers, please see documentation provided when you started hosting or contact us today!
If a message is put into the spam folder of your user account incorrectly, you can forward that message to falsespam@mtpinternet.com and request that sender be allowed through the spam filters.

If a message that is spam gets through the spam filter into your inbox, you can report the spam by sending the message to reportspam@mtpinternet.com. All messages sent to this address will be analyzed for inclusion in the next spam filter update.

Spam messages will be automatically deleted after 7 days if they are not moved out of the spam folder.

Although MediaTech Productions provides anti-spam services, it is the responsibility of the user to protect their mail services against spam and phishing attacks.
