Outlook Express Email Configuration

  1. Open Outlook Express
  2. Click Tools in the toolbar and select Accounts

  3. Select Mail tab, click Addŕ Select Mail


  4. Enter your name as you would like it to display on your emails in the Display name box.

  5. Click Next
  6. Enter your email address in the Email Address box (if you were supplied an email address from MediaTech, enter that address here).

  7. Click Next
  8. Select POP3 in the “My incoming mail server is a _____ server” drop down box.

  9. Enter mail.mediatechproductions.com in both the “Incoming Mail server” and “Outgoing mail (SMTP) server boxes.
  10. Click Next

  11. Enter your FULL email address in the “Account Name” box (this is the email supplied to you by MediaTech). Enter the password supplied to you in the “Password” box. Make sure the “Remember Password” checkbox is checked!

  12. Click Next
  13. Click Finish
  14. Select the new mail account (it will be named mail.mediatechproductions.com) and click Properties


  15. Click the Servers tab

  16. At the bottom, right above the “Outgoing Mail Server” section:
    1. Uncheck “Log on using Secure Password Authentication” if checked already
  17. At the bottom, in the “Outgoing Mail Server” section:
    1. Check “My server requires Authentication” if not checked already
    2. Click Settings

    1. Make sure “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is the radio button selected.
    2. Click OK
  18. Click Apply in Properties window

  19. Click OK in Properties window
  20. Click Close in Accounts window
  21. Click Send/Receive in the toolbar to receive your email.
